Mexico: Sunrise to Sunset

So here’s the last of the Mexico drawings.  This is what it looks like when you wake up before dawn to go draw the eastern side of the island, lounge on the beach during the day, and then end the day on the western side of the island.

MIX is this weekend! Mexico drawings! The Lutefisk Sushi Podcast!

YES!!! MIX is THIS WEEKEND!!! Saturday Now 5th & Sunday Nov 6th (with kick-off events on Friday Nov 4th)!!! You WILL be there!!!   As I’ve mentioned the debuts of both the MANLY TALES OF COWARDICE and SUPERMARKET VIGILANTE graphic novels will be there, as will the debuts of the GERM WARFARE and DUH! anthologies I have stories in.  There are lots of cool panels going on during MIX, including the SALON SALOON show which I will be a part of!!!  I love SALON SALOON so being asked to be a part of it is one of the biggest honors ever.  Not only that, but the panel includes Lena Chandhok, Corinne Mucha, and John Porcellino–one of the people without whom I would not have even started doing mini-comics.  Life has come full circle.

Also, don’t forget about the LUTEFISK SUSHI PODCAST–“The Audio Sampling of MN Cartoonists”–a show where I talk with other MN cartoonists about their work and life.  There have been 6 episodes so far, and if all goes according to plan episode 7 will be up this Thursday.  Also, over the weekend the podcast entered into an unholy union with the NORDEAST COMICS SUMMIT, and there will be more on that soon.  In the meanwhile, why not enjoy some more drawings I did while in Mexico…

So thats my wife drawn while she was painting or reading or something.  I was pretty drunk, honestly.  And here’s some quick gesture drawings of the local birdies…

So thats all for this week.  I’ll be back next week with some kinda MIX recap (maybe. I hope.) and the last of the Mexico drawings.  Til then, SEE YOU AT MIX!!!
