PLUNGER-MAN–by Ryan Dow and myself–pg 11(of 11), also: Scarecrow

M&F_Jabbagazule_page_11

This story is written, pencilled and greytoned by RYAN DOW, and inked and lettered by myself.  It first appeared in MUSCLES AND FRIGHTS.   And now some thoughts on this, the final page…

RYAN DOW:  You can’t have an Elder God parody comic without making a nod to Cthulu.  I also love the star-bursts at the end.  I always hear the Power-Puff Girls them music when I see that last panel.  Not the them from the show, but the theme from the movie.

DANNO KLONOWSKI:  I don’t know from Power-Puff, but I wanna say I added the swirl at the end….maybe?  I seem to recall not wanting to just do an all black background for the end.  Who knows anymore.  What I do know is that the PLUNGER-MAN mythos does not end here.  Ryan did a super awesome PLUNGER-MAN  comic which you can and SHOULD BUY RIGHT NOW!  It’s probably the funniest comic I’ve read this year.  AAANNNDDD Plunger-Man will be back next week when I run a short 4 page tale I did shortly after finishing this story that pays “tribute” to Ryan Dow and his INTROSPECTIVE COMICS.

Also,  day two of the new “Daily Goals Sketch” was another success.  And so today we have SCARECROW, as selected by my client:

*** BTW: One last time…just cause you’re got the PLUNGER-MAN milk for free, you should still totally buy the MUSCLES AND FRIGHTS cow.  It’s full of a ton of great stuff from some wonderful creators.  But…you don’t have to take my word for it.

I’m loving the Batman drawings. They’re dead on, but still very Danno. Keep going!

Hey Mike! Nice to hear from you.
Thanks for the nice words about the drawings. They are fun to do, and my client really enjoys them–and they really help motivate him to reach his daily goal. What I’m most excited about is that they are based on what he wants, so this could end up being a fun challenge (especially if he starts asking me for BEN 10 characters, since I know nothing about that show). Yes, there have been 2 Batman villians in a row, but the one I did today(up Monday) is a Spidey villian. I’m sure we’ll even get to actual heroes soon too!
