PHENOMENAL TANGENTS–back cover by STEVEN STWALLEY, also: another MPLS Conspiracy member set loose in the wild…

In addition to writing the coolest script in the world and shaming me with his lettering,  STEVE STWALLEY schooled the world with this back cover.  STEVE fathered the INTERNATIONAL CARTOONIST CONSPIRACY in 1954 with 12 women of illicit intent, and is one of the worlds nicest dads.
Speaking of the CONSPIRACY…Visiting MPLS CELL Conspirator Ameritus ATHENA CURRIER has left Minneapolis after summering again with this fine institution to lecture sequentially for a couple of semisters at Hampshire College in Amherst, Mass.  Her latest strip is PT 1 of her SUMMER here and features the Spawn of Stwalley themselves. Her September 2nd, 2009 strip was a submission she totally should sent in to the CITY PAGES COMIX ISSUE 2009, and then they could have bumped that whiney BS I did.  See you soon, Professor!
Oh yeah…24 HOUR COMIC DAY is like less than a month away…umm…sign up here or just show up the 3rd of OCTOBER at MN CENTER FOR THE BOOK ARTS from 10am until 10am on the 4th(or until you finish–whichever comes first!) .  Theres a delicious (but filthy, godless, and communist) food/beverage POT LUCK and live blogging for the kids!
